The Energy of Food
Humans and animals in general are living entities that need to absorb the vital energy of different foods in order to survive. Is surviving the goal? Or it is to live with the full energy
that these bodies are capable of having?
When referring to food, energy is the measurement given to us in kilocalories (Calories) or in Joules (used more in other countries outside the U.S.). We look for how many calories we are consuming in a meal or in a day, but what we fail to take into consideration is the Vital Energy of Food that is at it’s peak when harvested or picked from a tree. With time, the activity of enzymes that are present in all plants and animals, help ripen the fruits and vegetables or “age” the meats,
sometimes to the point of being spoiled or not fit for consumption.
In the process of preserving food, cooking at high temperature, freezing, canning or storing in the refrigerator for a long time, the energetic vital force of that food gets depleted. This vital force energy in food is what our bodies crave to replenish, regenerate and conserve our cells.
A good way to start bringing back that energy to your system is by consuming large quantities of fresh vegetables and/or fruits in every meal. Keep in mind that fruits, although full of great nutrients, also contain fructose (fruit sugar) which has to be consumed in moderation especially by diabetics. Salads of leafy green vegetables, avocados, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, peppers of all the colors, etc. are excellent sources of the good replenishing molecules that our bodies need. You can find a variety of fresh vegetables in the grocery stores to choose from.
Enjoy!
